However, this is not an accurate representation as teenage pregnancy is going down rapidly than other years. Young people are often represented negatively in media texts, which can cause controversy and stimulate debate.
Another stereotype is that boys are uncaring and not friendly but the boy in this clip is challenging the stereotype because he shows compassion and warmth to Faye. Furthermore, this clip reinforces the stereotype that young children are becoming more and more over weight implying that parents aren't providing a healthy and nutritious route for their children.

This video clip is from EastEnders and this family challenges the stereotype of what people call the rough part of London just because they appear to be scruffy and careless about their appearance. During the London riots, British young people were portrayed by the media as dangerous and hostile, this representation was based on the actions of small number people and created an unfair stereotype.
