Newspapers are mainly aimed at older people age 50+. This is because the publishers has aimed it for the older generation but it doesn't mean that younger people don't read the news paper as they might be in it though their football teams. The most important target area are people who live in the greater Manchester area as it shows what has been happening around greater Manchester like the political views. Magazines are mainly aimed at females like this OK magazine where it gossips about celebrities and how they live their life which stereotypically links to females.
Audio/Visual:
This reality/comedy TV program is aimed at people aged 30+ even though younger people watch with their families. It is targeted to people who like comedy and like to be entertained by people watching TV. Mamma Mia is targeted for females aged 12+. This heartfelt musical is about love which intrigues females. But on the other hand people who listen to Abba also my watch Mamma Mia because they are a fan of Abba.


This is in need of completion please Libby. You need 2 examples of each of the three platforms and for each, a detailed assessment of the target audiences. So age groups need to be a range, rather than a number and then a plus sign. This is too wide and doesn't focus enough upon a group. You also need psychographic measures such as interests, what people's attitudes and interests are, their lifestyle choices etc.
